Time flies. It seems not too long ago, we were working on the March food Drive 2009. Once again we ask the public for food or money donations. It’s been a busy year since last March. We’ve had many new clients at the food shelf so food goes fast. Every donation is greatly appreciated.

No updates means we’ve been extra busy at the food shelf.

We made time to work on a float for the fair kick off parade. Pictures of our FIRST PLACE FLOAT will be up later today.

Due to the July 4th holiday, we will be closed July 6, 2009. We will reopen Monday July 13, 2009.

In observance of Easter, we will be closed Monday April 13. We will reopen Monday April 19.

It’s the beginning of March and so begins the annual campaign for Minnesota food shelves and banks to get food and monetary donations.

Due to the icy rain conditions that have made any travel dangerous, we will be closed today February 9.

We will also be closed next Monday, February 16 to observe President’s Day. We will reopen Monday, February 23.

Attention:

Changes in Minnesota Food Support (Food Stamp) program rules effective January 1, 2009.

If you previously received Food Support and were told:

• You were only eligible for a three month period of time, or

• You were no longer eligible for Food Support because those three months had been used up,

And if you have applied in the past and decided:

• To not accpet benefits, or
• To use only part of the three months that you were eligible for,

You may be able to receive Food Support for the next twelve months.

Call your local Human Service Agency and re-apply NOW!
